Halloweekend #1

October 13th-15

Summer may be over, but the good times just keep coming! Join us this fall for some good ole fashion Halloween family-fun!

Friday, October 13th
6:00 pm – 7:00 pm: That’s right! It’s s’mores night at Splashway! Bring the entire family and meet us at the fishing pond for ooey-gooey s’mores! All necessary ingredients will be provided by Splashway, while supplies last. 

7:45 pm: Movie under the stars! Meet at the pond to watch a movie!  Feel free to bring your chairs, blankets, and coolers.

7:45 pm: Join us at the family center to watch a movie inside! There will be a small concession stand between the family and activity center.

8:00 pm: NEW! Join in the family center if you dare! We will be showing a SCARY movie.  This movie will be rated R for disturbing horror content.  Viewers must be at least 18 years old or accompanied by a parent.

Saturday, October 14th
9:00 am: Begin your beautiful Saturday morning by joining Ray at the flag pole located in the campgrounds at 9 am. We will say a prayer, say the Pledge of Allegiance, and the Texas State Pledge. See you at the pole!

9:00 am – 10 am: Ray’s Magical Pumpkin Patch! Join us near the Campground Office for pumpkin planting and magical potions! Cost is $6 per participant. Purchase your tickets at the Campground Office.

10:00 am – 12 pm: Get ready for a fa-BOO-lous time at the family center for arts and crafts! 

10:00 am – 4 pm: NEW! Have a g’houl time playing laser tag with friends and family!  There will be two styles of gameplay. Prices will range from $3-$16 depending on the number of rounds and players. BOOK NOW

11:00 am: Bring the whole family down to the pond for a MONSTER game of kickball!

1:00 pm – 2 pm: Meet us at the activity center located near the Campground Office from 1pm-2pm for a game of bingo! Be sure to bring the entire family for an afternoon of laughter! 

2:00 pm: Ray’s Express is in full effect! Bring the entire family and join us at 2 pm as we view the campgrounds on a good ‘ole fashioned hayride! Pick up will be near the playground. Several trips will be made to accommodate everyone!

3:00 pm: Show off your chili cooking skills by competing for great prizes, not to mention the satisfaction of winning! Sign up to participate at the camp office at check-in.  A $10 entry fee is required to participate. Turn in your homemade chili at the Campground Office at 3 pm. Three winners will be announced and awarded at Live & Local. 

6:15 pm: Show us your spirit! Compete with your fellow neighbors in the annual site decorating contest. Top winners for Funniest, Scariest, and Most Orignal will be announced at Live and Local.  Each winner will receive a yard sign and a $100 camping credit! Judging begins at 6:15 pm.

6:45 pm: Calling all witches, ghost, and ghouls! Will your costume be the one that rules? Join Splashway’s Annual Costume Contest and show off your fa-BOO-lous costume! Categories are as follows: 

  • Babies – 4 year-olds 
  • 5 – 11 year-olds
  • 12+ 
  • Family 

Those wishing to enter the costume contest must arrive at the pond by 6:30 pm. Judging will begin shortly after. Good luck and happy haunting!

7:30 pm – 10:00 pm: Haunted Trail beginning at 7:30 pm. Our Haunted Trail is a mild scare attraction but may not be suited for small children. Tickets are $1 per participant! Purchase your tickets at the Campground Store.

8:00 pm – 10:00 pm: Bring the whole crew and join us down by the pond at 8 pm for Live and Local. This weekend’s featured artist is the talented Jon Stork! You are welcome to bring your ice chest, lawn chairs, and blankets. What a perfect way to end your Saturday night! 

Sunday, October 15th
8:00 am – 10:30 am: You can’t end such a fun weekend on an empty stomach! Join us in the family center for Breakfast with Ray. There will be an assorted variety of breakfast available such as pancakes, toppings, coffee, and more! Adults are $8 and children 10 and under are $5.00. 

9:00 am – 10:00 am: Check to see if your magical potion worked! Visit the pumpkin patch to pick your pumpkin and then head Activity Center to decorate your pumpkin.

10:30 am – 11:00 am Splashway will host a Sunday School session based on scripture for the children, with a corresponding arts & crafts. Meet us in the Activity Center for fun and fellowship!
